STOCK REGISTRATION - STAGES
The following transactions should be done online at the BASCO website: Birth Notifications. Ewe Lamb Registrations & Annual Census. Recording Members should also enter their lamb weights at the appropriate time.

BIRTH NOTIFY all live lambs born, male and female.
Ideally done online using the BASCO website. This will trigger an invoice to be sent from HDSBA. Birth Notifications done on paper will incur an additional administration fee.
Dates for Birth Notification: Performance recorded flocks Birth Notify within six weeks of lambing. All other flocks by end of third month following birth.
Ewe lambs chosen to retain for breeding. Ideally done online using the BASCO website. This will trigger an invoice to be sent from HDSBA. Registration can be made at time of Birth Notification, or any time up to 30th September (late registration of lambs from 1st October up to the age of 12 months will incur a higher fee). No registrations may be made over 12 months of age.
Stock Rams previously birth notified ram lambs may be registered as stock rams by breeder using ram for service for the first time. Application for Stock Ram Registration to be made to HDSBA Secretary giving Flock Number and a Chosen Name, together with the appropriate fee for registration (and transfer where applicable).
STOCK REGISTRATION FEES
BIRTH NOTIFICATION FEES VARY AS FOLLOWS:
Non-Recording Flocks: £1.50 incl VAT online, or if done on paper £2 incl VAT. (Late Birth Notifications after 30th September £4 incl VAT).
Basic Performance Recording Flocks: £2 incl VAT to be done online. (Administration fee of £15 for paper submissions).
Full Performance Recording Flocks: £4 incl VAT to be done online. (Administration fee of £30 for paper submissions).
Ewe Lamb Registrations £9 incl VAT for lambs registered by 30th September, £13 incl VAT for lambs registered between 1st October - 12 months old. Online registration recommended.
Stock Ram Registrations £25 incl VAT for previously birth notified ram lambs and now used for pedigree breeding. Stock Ram fee payable by breeder first using ram. Application for Stock Ram Registration to be made to the Secretary.
Transfers All Stock £8 incl VAT (new owner to pay). No charge for sheep bought at HDSBA sales. No charge for Junior Members. No charge for transfers made at time of new member joining for the first time.
