The Association
The Hampshire Down Sheep Breeders’ Association is a group of like-minded people all dedicated to progressing and promoting the breed, whether it be in the show ring or selling commercially.
We exist to further the breed through selective breeding and education. We also hold a number of sales every year starting with Stirling in the spring to Carlisle in the Autumn with our Premier Breeders sale at the end of June. There are many shows up and down the country that have Hampshire Down classes. The AGM weekend held in the Autumn is a great social event.
HDSBA is managed by a council, whose members act both as company directors and charity trustees. The Council is chaired by the Association’s president and advised by a series of committees. The Association’s administration is designated to the secretary.
