Northern Ireland National Show 2026
Judge, Louis Stainthorpe from the Whitby Flock commented that ‘the overall standard of sheep was high, with a competitive but friendly atmosphere. It’s was heartening to see many keen young competitors who are clearly getting good advice and support from the more established flocks’
Champion on the day was Sean & Gillian Doyle LOUGHBRAE Shearling ewe 58U2501982. According to the judge she was an ‘outstanding sheep, displaying excellent breed character, balance, and overall presence’ . She is sired by Kildowney Cannonball and out of a homebred ewe by Ashley Springbok.
Reserve Champion went to a Ram Lamb from Rodney Wilsons AIMNEY Flock. B302600220 is sired by the 2012 born Moneycarragh Goldfinger and out of a home bred ewe.
The Northern Ireland Club wish to thank the Armagh County Show for all their help and support. Thank you to Connolly’s RED MILLS for continuing to sponsor our National show classes. Thank you to our Judge Mr Louis Stainthorpe for taking time and travelling over to judge.
