A great day for the Doyle Family at a sunny Balmoral Show, taking many of the prizes including Breed Champion and Reserve with two shearling ewes from the same class. The Champion ewe 58U2401785 is sired by Creelly Ultra and out of a home bred ewe by Glenbrook Jack The Rip Ear. The ewe will be for sale in the Northern Ireland Club online timed auction (22nd May – 26th May) Lot 36

Judge for the day Jon Barnard, Stourfield Flock from Devon commented ‘It was a real honour and privilege to judge the Hampshire Down sheep classes at this year’s Balmoral Show. The standard across the board was incredibly high, and it was a pleasure to assess such quality stock from dedicated breeders. The champion on the day was a truly exceptional example of the breed—oozing character, power, and style. With such presence and correctness, it’s the type of sheep that will no doubt leave a lasting impact and go on to breed many future champions. A big thank you to the exhibitors for their efforts and to the show organisers for the warm welcome and flawless event’
