Scottish Club Donates to Great Charity
The Hampshire Down Sheep Breeders Association Scottish Club recently held their pre-lambing winter lunch in Callendar, taking the opportunity to hand over the fundraising proceeds of the recent Hampshire Down National AGM and Awards Weekend which was hosted this year by the Scottish Club.
Club Chair Liz Brown is pictured presenting the cheque for £3500 to John and Isobel Gibson of the suicide prevention charity The Canmore Trust. John Gibson thanked the club and national association for their generosity and outlined some of the current and future work it will support, including training support workers to work with those impacted by suicide, and newly commissioned research into suicidality.
The club has also donated £500 to rural mental wellbeing charity Farmstrong Scotland.
This would not have been possible without the fantastic support of prize donors, bidders and ticket buyers who supported the causes so generously.
