Scottish National Show 2026
‘What a day at the Black Isle show Ground for the Scottish National Show’ commented Club Chair Mark Weir ‘An incredible display of sheep of truly outstanding quality, well done to all exhibitors for their hard work and preparation put in. The competition was certainly tough!’
Overall, the show had 69 entries across 10 Flocks with an excellent turn out of sheep on the day and it was the second year in a row that the Lecropt Team took the top honours and this time McFarlane & Rennie from Stirling took Reserve as well. Judge Stuart Jones from Maes-glas in Wales commented on the show of sheep ‘Overall there was a high standard of excellent, well presented, correct sheep in which ever single sheep judged was correct on mouths’
Champion was the Lecropt ewe Lamb 53Y2600727, sired by Normanby Highlander and out of a Lecropt Fraser bred ewe. Mr Jones said of his Champion that she was ‘a real eye catching ewe lamb, tremendous presence and “look at me” quality with exceptional fleece and handles so well and was beautifully presented’
