A great day for the breed in Carlisle and especially for Breed President, Adrian Rundle with a top of 2000gns and 9 other prices over 1000gns. Younger sheep were definitely in demand with the average for shearling ewes and ewe lambs significantly up from last year.

The arduous journey from Cornwall was worthwhile for Adrian Rundle’s, Treworthal Flock gaining five of the top nine highest prices. Topping the sale was the ram lamb, B832200300. Sired by Graylen Churchhill,, Magnus has the highest eye muscle and gigot score of Hampshire lambs scanned in 2022. Andrew & Louise Goldie from Dumfriesshire secured this lamb for their Hoddom Flock.
